Terms & Conditions
A legal disclaimer
Welcome to Box'd Vows. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all orders placed through our website, by email, or in person, and to all products and services we provide. By placing an order with Box'd Vows, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before ordering.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Where any clause in these Terms is inconsistent with the ACL, the ACL prevails.

Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By submitting an order, enquiry, or booking with Box'd Vows — whether through our website, over email, or via social media — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are ordering on behalf of a couple, a wedding or event party, or a company, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Ordering Process
Orders can be placed through our website or by emailing boxdvows@gmail.com. Most products are made to order, so we ask that you place your order with as much notice as possible. An order is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from us and, where required, paid the applicable deposit.
3. Custom Orders
Many of our boxes and cakes are custom designed to suit your event, colour palette, or theme. We will work with you to understand your vision, but final designs remain at the professional discretion of Box'd Vows to ensure the product is achievable, food safe, and consistent with the quality we stand behind. We reserve the right to decline requests that are impractical, unsafe, or inconsistent with our brand and standards.
4. Wedding Orders
Wedding orders are typically booked months in advance and are subject to availability on your requested date. A date is only secured once the deposit outlined in Section 10 has been received. We recommend enquiring as early as possible, particularly for peak wedding season dates, as we only take a limited number of bookings per date to protect the quality of every order.
5. Corporate Orders
We welcome enquiries from businesses for client gifting, corporate events, and staff celebrations. Corporate orders may involve bespoke branding, packaging, or bulk quantities, and will be quoted individually. Payment terms for corporate accounts may be discussed separately and will be confirmed in writing.
6. Cake Tasting Boxes
Cake tasting boxes are available to purchase directly through our website and are prepared and dispatched as pre-order items. Because these are perishable, made-to-order food products, cake tasting boxes cannot be refunded, exchanged, or cancelled once they have been dispatched, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Quotes
Quotes provided by Box'd Vows are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quote does not constitute a confirmed booking. Pricing may change after this period to reflect updated ingredient, packaging, or production costs.
8. Minimum Order Quantities
Minimum order quantities may apply depending on the product and will be confirmed at the time of your enquiry or quote.
9. Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Prices for custom and wedding orders are confirmed at the time of quoting and may vary based on design complexity, quantity, packaging, and delivery requirements. We reserve the right to update our standard pricing at any time; however, the price confirmed in your written quote or order confirmation will be honoured for that order.
10. Deposits
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and production date. Your date and order are not confirmed until this deposit has been received. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, including cancellation or change of mind, as it reserves production time and materials exclusively for your order.
11. Final Payments
The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your delivery or collection date. If final payment is not received by this date, Box'd Vows reserves the right to treat the order as cancelled, and the deposit will be forfeited. We will always send a reminder ahead of this due date as a courtesy.
12. Payment Methods
We currently accept payment via bank transfer and online payment options available through our website. Details will be provided upon booking confirmation.
13. Order Confirmation
Your order is only confirmed once you have received written order confirmation from Box'd Vows and the required deposit has cleared into our account. Please check your order confirmation carefully and let us know immediately of any errors in quantities, dates, flavours, or delivery details.
14. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking, including event date, delivery or collection address, contact details, dietary requirements, and design specifications. Box'd Vows is not responsible for errors arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.
15. Changes to Orders
We understand that plans evolve. Requests to change an order (such as quantity, design, or flavour) must be made in writing and are subject to availability and production timelines. Changes requested within 14 days of your delivery or collection date may not be able to be accommodated and may incur additional costs.
16. Rescheduling
We understand that wedding and event dates can change. Requests to reschedule must be made in writing as early as possible and are subject to availability on the new date. Your non-refundable deposit can be transferred to a new confirmed date once, provided the request is made more than 8 weeks before your original date. Rescheduling requests made within 8 weeks of the original date are subject to a new deposit being paid to secure the new date, in addition to the original deposit, to reflect the lost production slot.
17. Cancellations
Cancellations must be provided in writing. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation, for any reason, at any time. If cancellation occurs after final payment has been made, any remaining balance paid beyond the deposit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account how much production and preparation has already taken place.
18. Refunds
Refunds are provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. Where our products fail to meet a consumer guarantee (for example, they are not of acceptable quality or do not match their description), you are entitled to a remedy which may include a refund, replacement, or repair. Refunds are not provided for change of mind, and cake tasting boxes cannot be refunded once dispatched (see Section 6). To raise a concern, please contact us as outlined in Section 40.
19. Delivery
Delivery is available across the Perth metropolitan area for a flat fee, and to regional areas by individual quote, as outlined in our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Delivery must be arranged and paid for at the time of booking. Please refer to our Shipping & Delivery Policy for full details on delivery areas, fees, and timeframes.
20. Collection
Collection is available from our Perth studio during confirmed collection windows communicated at the time of booking. Collection address is a residential address and will be provided upon confirmation for a collection. Please arrive within your allocated collection window, as we prepare orders for collection to a schedule to preserve freshness and presentation.
21. Delivery Delays
While we make every effort to deliver on time, delivery may occasionally be affected by traffic, weather, or other circumstances outside our control. We will communicate with you as soon as possible if a delay is expected. Box'd Vows is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic incidents, extreme weather, or courier issues.
22. Incorrect Addresses
You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. If a delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect address provided by you, or nobody is available to receive the delivery, additional fees may apply for re-delivery, and Box'd Vows is not responsible for any resulting delay, damage, or spoilage.
23. Risk After Collection or Delivery
Once an order has been collected by you or your nominated representative, or successfully delivered to the agreed address, responsibility for the product passes to you. Box'd Vows is not liable for any damage, spoilage, or deterioration that occurs after this point, including damage caused during transport, incorrect storage, or display in unsuitable conditions (such as heat or direct sunlight).
24. Storage Instructions
Storage instructions will be provided with your order. Most products should be kept refrigerated until close to serving time and brought to room temperature for a short period before display, as advised. Please follow the storage instructions provided, as our products contain no artificial preservatives.
25. Shelf Life
Our products are made fresh with no artificial preservatives and are best enjoyed on the day of collection or delivery, or as otherwise advised at the time of order. Box'd Vows does not guarantee product quality beyond the recommended consumption window communicated with your order.
26. Allergens
Box'd Vows operates from a kitchen that is not allergen-free. Our products may contain, or come into contact with, common allergens including dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, and soy. While we are happy to discuss dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee any product is completely free from trace allergens due to shared equipment and workspace.
27. Dietary Requirements
Please advise us of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements at the time of booking so we can discuss what may be possible. It is your responsibility to inform your guests of the ingredients and allergen risks associated with the products you order, particularly for weddings and events where Box'd Vows has no direct contact with guests.
28. Cross Contamination
Due to the nature of our kitchen and the range of ingredients we work with, we cannot guarantee an environment completely free from cross-contamination. Customers with severe allergies should discuss their requirements with us directly before ordering so we can advise accordingly.
29. Decorations
Decorative elements (such as toppers, ribbons, dried flowers, or embellishments) are selected to complement your order and may vary slightly from images shown due to product availability. Any non-edible decorations should be removed before serving.
30. Fresh Flowers
Where fresh flowers are supplied by you or your florist for use on or around our products, Box'd Vows is not responsible for their food safety, treatment, or condition. It is your responsibility to ensure any fresh flowers used are food-safe, pesticide-free, and properly prepared. Where Box'd Vows sources flowers on your behalf, we will take reasonable care but cannot guarantee specific varieties due to seasonal availability.
31. Colour Variations
Colours shown on our website and social media are a guide only. Actual colours may vary slightly due to screen display settings, natural variation in ingredients (such as buttercream, chocolate, or fruit), and the handmade nature of our products.
32. Handmade Product Variations
Every Box'd Vows creation is handmade, and small variations in size, shape, colour, and finish are a natural part of this process. These variations are not considered faults and reflect the bespoke, artisan nature of our products.
33. Photography
Photography of your event or product supplied to us by you may be used by Box'd Vows for marketing purposes as outlined in Section 34, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
34. Marketing Use
Box'd Vows reserves the right to photograph our products and use these images across our website, social media, and marketing materials. Where a professional photographer has captured images of your event featuring our products, we will seek permission from you or the relevant photographer before use.
35. Intellectual Property
All content on the Box'd Vows website, including photography, designs, logos, and written content, is the intellectual property of Box'd Vows and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without our written permission.
36. Website Use
Our website is provided for the purpose of browsing our products and placing orders. You agree not to misuse the website, including attempting to access it in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its functioning.
37. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Box'd Vows' liability for any claim arising from your order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
38. Force Majeure
Box'd Vows is not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, public health emergencies, power or supply failures, or industrial action. Where such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss options.
39. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
